Happy Sunday!

These wonderful flowers (from bulbs) pop up in front of The Little Yellow House On the Hill every spring about this time. Makes me smile to see them greet me as I dash in and out!

Charmed I'm Sure

Well I certainly was! Made these at a class in Ojai taught by Tyn Atol. This soldering stuff is way harder than it looks but I'm pleased with the results.

Happy Spring!

Survived testing and report card week and welcomed spring more or less in one piece. The Little Yellow House On the Hill needs much work both inside and out. Great plans are afoot to dive into closets, pull weeks and sort and organize during spring break in two weeks. Plans and dreams and ideas... only to be interrupted by the beach or crafting or blog hopping...

Somewhere in Ireland

I took this picture somewhere in Ireland...don't remember where exactly...but I wish I was there instead of looking at a killer week with report cards due Friday and a meeting or something everyday after school.

Lady Lemonade Does Art

Here I am at Vita Art Center doing my thing in the Altered Mondays class with Lori Zimmerman. We've done a board book, cigar box, Altoid tin and papers.

Visual Journal Pages

Inspired by Kelly Kilmer's online class I worked on some pages and here they are...

Backing paper is inside of mail envelopes...image is a drawing from one of the old masters snagged off the internet....Dover sampler, I think:

These 2 pages are torn bits of the insides of envelopes...a complete freebie...waiting for the right images to paste on top...

I love the way the colors went together on these pages...

These are the result of a current black and white fetish...

Really Thought I'd Be Lucky

A couple of mornings ago I woke up to see this rainbow...drove to get coffee and saw dolphins! I was sure this was an auspicious day so on the way to work I stopped by the "lucky" store to buy $5.00 worth of lottery tickets. I figured these 2 signs from nature were telling me go for it because this is your day. Nature lied. I got one number out of 5 tries. Back to my belief that arbitrary rules the universe and I am not lucky.

Sunday Morning Stroll

I just never get tired of the beach. I don't have to worry about looking cute or being too fat or getting a date...I can just enjoy the waves and air and sun. I even got surprised by the kids and visited while they ate breakfast by the coffee shop. With Buddy, the best granddog around. Life is good. Back to the wiggle worms tomorrow. Big sigh!

The rain is waaaaaay over. Probably not to return for months. Drought declared. Water rationing is next. And my lawn is so green...
