Heart's Ease

This is the first blossom of the season from the seeds I brought home from my solo trip to England years ago. They've come up yearly and remind me of the very special trip I took for my 50th BD. And yes, it's been long enough that I need to start thinking about the 60th. Oh my.

Your story reminds me of one which is passed down in our family. My grandmother made a trip to England as a young lady and smuggled back part of a plant which grew on the wall of an old family home. It was a climbing-type. Her plant clipping road back by ocean crossing, in a kotex box. It's a fabulous story which keeps everyone chuckling. We managed to keep the plant alive, and take further clippings from it, for three generations...but I'm afraid there are not many plant nurturers left. Sad by true.

I love your grandma's story...actually I prefer REAL stories from REAL people anyway! Thanks for sharing...
